A correlation: wind chill and fat consumption

The last three days, in pictures:

Heaven-on-earth: homemade mushroom pizza.

Feta, ricotta, fresh dill, and egg on its way to becoming spanakopita filling.

The colder it is outside, the more I crave big whopping gobs of butter and melted cheese in my dinner. Today's high temperature: 22 degrees. I see a trend emerging.

We have a busy weekend ahead of us: a friend's housewarming, some live music, a double-inlaws dinner party, and a Sunday afternoon at the cafe. I'm hoping to squirrel away a little gift-wrapping time in there, as well. We'll see how that goes.

Where will this weekend be taking you?

That all looks so yummy.

This weekend hmm? Well, first I am packing all our stuff cause we are moving. Yep, after reading all your blogs about all that fab food I have decided that you need to be my neighbor ;)

Seriously, Hubby Bill and I are shopping tomorrow - thrift and vintage stores - after hauling off the trash and dropping off donations at said thrift shops. Maybe a book store. Avoiding malls at all costs. We usually do anyway.

Then Saturday night we are off to see Son's band, http://www.myspace.com/100yorktown, rock the night away! It's a big show for them cause they are opening for Sponge. (Okay, I have no clue who Sponge is but I'm told they are well known amongst young'uns.)

Sunday we recover and the grown up kids and I will attempt a family craft day!

Thankfully, this weekend will be mostly spent relaxing. I have a trip to the grocery planned, but other than that it's home staying warm and playing with an energetic two year old. Just what I need!

Uuugggggh! I love spanakopita! I've never made them myself though. We just get the frozen ones from the store and bake them.

As for the weather, the high for today is 36. I actually threw on a new (to me, actually thrifted) sweater and took a walk today and was quite warm!
